If you get a little multi-tool (like photo below), you can use the allen key(s) in the workshop and when on the road.

When working in the work shop allen keys are best.
Please have in mind when you put allen keys in your jersey pockets (for wheel take off) they are dangerous like a knife when you crash.
A multi tool may be a good compromise.
